[MittleiderMethodGardening] WHITEFLIES IN GREENHOUSE
Hi Jim and all:
Sudden infestation of whiteflies, in greenhouse and outside. We had loosed 1500 ladybugs in the greenhouse, but the heat has been horrific this summer, even with the sunshades over the top of greenhouse.
I watched an LDS Prepper utube, and got rid of some pesky things with inexpensive insecticidal soap made with water in 2 gallon sprayer and a few tablsp. of dawn, worked great!
Thanks, LDSPrepper!
In reading some websites, they are saying to blast the leaves underside with water, most seem to be in the kale and maybe, just maybe , started in the marigolds we inserted in there nearly 3 months ago. So, going to pull those out, and toss those. The other sites suggest after wetting the undersides, one person holds and the other sprays i guess! then, do the insecticidal soap!
Got rid of any under the kale leaves that didn't look very good, but the top ones still looking great.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Barbara
